About Me

My Experience

A little about me and my background

I started my first job at the age of 13, at a local, convenience store, where I helped, stock shelves, work on the checkout and did local deliveries on an old butchers bike (you know the one with a small front wheel and huge basket above, which, once loaded, was heavier than I was, so had to remember, NOT to use the front brake! - otherwise, I would end up 'head over heels')

I also worked at the mini golf, adjacent the old Aquarena paddling pool. Arriving at 7am, sweeping the felt greens of leaves and opening the payment kiosk.
I also worked at the 'motor boats' at the boating lake, south of the old Aquarena swimming pool (each run by, husband & wife , Des & Eileen Arnold), happy days!

I left school at 16, (I hated school)...

...Awaiting exam results I got bored, so looked for a 'fill in' job.
I was accepted for interview at a local photographers, (Walter Gardiner Photography) and was offered my first full time employment and stayed with them for over 24 years!
Working my way up, learning all aspects and processes within a commercial studio. Winning awards for both my photography and hand printing, the same techniques I now apply to my digital images.

I have run my own commercial studio since 2000, and am now expanding into classic studio portraits, model portfolio shoots and relaxed, natural light, location portrait shoots, for families.

I hope you like my style of photography.
